Eugster || Belgrade is pleased to invite you to the opening of The Gallery Is In-Between Shows, a group presentation featuring works by :mentalKLINIK, Ivana Ivković, Šejla Kamerić, Vladimir Miladinović, Marko Obradović, Eva Papamargariti, Tobias Spichtig, Emir Šehanović, and Saša Tkačenko.

OPENING: 10 June, 7-9 PM

During the summer months, while in-between exhibitions, the gallery will hold on view a rotating display of artworks by collaborators and artists currently represented by the gallery. The selection will reflect pieces that have not yet been included at the gallery in an exhibition, but those stored away, some that only traveled for art fairs, and some never shown before.

The past six months have been a period of pause, one that unfolded alongside the ongoing protests across Serbia. We’ve decided to open the gallery space for visitors as it has existed during this time: in pause, and in process. The space will not be polished or finalised, but will resemble a working environment, and make visible the resources that gallery workers and artists use for in-between operations like documentation, installation, storing, packing, crating, planning, while simultaneously re-thinking placements, contexts and the often invisible and less celebrated part of the labor that supports exhibitions and artistic production.

The display will be dynamic and shifting throughout the summer, by adding and exchanging works as they arrive or leave for other exhibitions. This mechanism will present works out of place, yet still within their environment, as elements in a fluid system of exchange and without occupying any singular position within the space. At the same time, this in-between moment coincides with a small milestone: eight years since Eugster || Belgrade first opened.
We thank all the artists, collaborators, and visitors who have built this space with us over the years.
