Šejla Kamerić

Happy to share that Šejla Kamerić’s work is on view at Weserburg Museum of Modern Art from September 20, 2025 to March 15, 2026, as part of the exhibition Cold as Ice. Coldness in Art and Society.

The exhibition brings together a wide range of artists and spans more than 1,000 sqm on Level 3 of the museum, presenting space-encompassing installations, video works, sculptures, photographs, drawings, audio pieces, paintings, and performances. Featuring renowned international artists, the show offers a broad and impactful look at today’s (politically) frosty times.
Cold as Ice reflects on both literal and metaphorical coldness: low temperatures, emotional distance, lacking empathy, and weakened solidarity. The works examine moments of alienation and indifference while also suggesting resistance, warmth, and the possibility of change.

Opening: September 19, 2025, 7 pm (admission free)
Curated by: Ingo Clauß and Janneke de Vries

Funded by the Kulturstiftung des Bundes (German Federal Cultural Foundation) and the Beauftragte der Bundesregierung für Kultur und Medien (Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media).
