- Back to news
We are proud to share that Emir Šehanović is among the award recipients at the 48th Salon of Architecture – “Activated Space”. The awards were presented during a formal ceremony held in a gallery at the Museum, where curator Dr. Nebojša Antešević and members of the Salon jury spoke about the awarded projects and works.
Within the category Research and Experiment, Emir Šehanović, together with Ivan Šuković and Dejan Todorović, received an award for the project: “Understanding the Earth: Interstitium”.

This recognition highlights their contribution to connecting science, ecology, architecture, and culture through an innovative and interdisciplinary approach. The jury emphasized this year’s focus on collective intelligence, socially responsible architecture, and the role of contemporary practice in addressing shared global environmental and social challenges.
We warmly congratulate Emir on this important achievement and are delighted to see his work recognized.
The exhibition is on view at the Museum of Applied Arts in Belgrade from April 2 to May 5, 2026, open Monday to Saturday from 11:00 to 20:00, and closed on Sundays.
The exhibition remains open to the public until May 5, with visitors invited to vote for the Audience Award.
