Getting Around
Getting around can be a bit tricky in Belgrade.
Or – if bad luck – you can get tricked. But it’s not difficult to avoid.
From the Airport:
Use the Taxi desk right before the exit of the airport.
Taxis should cost around 2000 RSD and during nights and weekends 3000 RSD.
That’s between 16 – 25 EUR
There is a bus going to center. From Zeleni Venac is a 6 min walk to Trg Republike.
Taxi numberplate MUST end with “-TX” !!! Do not use any other!
No taxi ride in Belgrade is more than 2200 RSD.
If they want to charge you that much – ask for police or take receipt
and insist on fully filled with name,
and take photo from numberplate of the taxi.
They will reconsider their fraud.
Credit cards: Not all taxis are accepting credit cards.
You can call and ask for a car that has credit card machine (phone numbers below)
Uber: there is no Uber in Belgrade but a similar company called CarGo and YandexGo. Download app.
Apps: YandexGo, CarGo, Naxis are very helpful if you’re ready to be online.
Will give you the option where to pick up in a map and details like credit card payment…
Stopping taxis on the street:
Pink (pink signs)
Lux (black signs)
Naxis (white green yellow signs)
Calling is better – or having your hotel or restaurants calling for you.
They’ll always do that.
